Our Origins
Dragonfly Therapeutic Retreat Company was established in Shanghai, China in 2003. It is the first truly world-class service brand in China that is ready and able to compete on the world stage. Dragonfly is a contemporary lifestyle brand encompassing a variety of services that help our customers relax and feel better about themselves.
Our Customers
Dragonfly appeals to men, to women and to couples. Dragonfly customers include foreigners and local Chinese who demand a high quality of service and a reasonable price. They are resident here, or they are business or leisure travellers coming through Shanghai. Our customers include large numbers of Overseas Chinese, Japanese, Europeans, North Americans and more. Our customers appreciate the sophisticated ambience of our shops, our attention to detail, and our consistent quality of service. Customer referrals are the source of a majority of our customers.

Dragonfly is managed by a professional, multinational team with more than 25 years experience serving sophisticated customers. Our corporate office is based in Shanghai and we are growing at a very fast pace – enlarging our management team and our front-line staff on a regular basis. We provide professional training and career growth opportunities for hard working, dedicated staff that come from all over China. Our workers are well paid and well treated and enjoy healthy modern working conditions and career opportunities that can even take them overseas – resulting in minimal employee turnover and consistent advancement from within.

Our Development Plans
We are expanding Dragonfly shops domestically – in key cities throughout China that have a sufficient base of foreign residents and tourists. We are also expanding our Dragonfly retreats internationally to Europe and other foreign countries. We are expanding the range of Dragonfly products and services into new areas that fit our lifestyle brand concept. We are very keen to expand our Dragonfly training program to enable an ever larger pool of talented Chinese therapists and beauty technicians to join our team – both in China and abroad.
